About City of Palmdale
The City of Palmdale is home to over 152,000 residents who enjoy a high quality of life in a family-oriented community. Nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, this beautiful desert City is located in north L.A. County just 60 miles northeast of Los Angeles. The City of Palmdale was incorporated on August 24, 1962 and is a Charter City governed under a council/manager form of local government.
